New Combat

I went to the new Combat tonight. On Friday, our instructor, Bri, kept telling us that the new launch of Combat was going to be so hard on our endurance. I believed her because she normally kicks my ass every time I take Combat (or at least the two times I did last week). The new Combat, however, did not leave me totally breathless.... except for one track. Once you do it, you'll know what I'm talking about. The L-word. Lunges, legs, whichever L word you choose, it sucks, the lunges suck, the legs hurt.... Aside from that it wasn't too hard. I think the combos are much easier to follow than some of the old ones. I don't think I screwed up as much as I normally do. Tomorrow it's off the Pump again and hopefully logging some miles on the treadmill. I'm hoping for at least 30 minutes jogging, even if it is only at 5.5 mph.... I just want to do 30 minutes straight again. Wish me luck!

I was trying to describe the jumping lunges to Jennifer.
Me: So you're in lunge position and you jump to the other leg. Slowly.
Jennifer: How does that work.
Me: Exactly, and then you get faster!

You sure make me want to try the new Combat - both of you hated the lunge things, I probably won't even be able to do them at all - or I'll fall on my face for real!
