TGIF
This has been a long week.... I have not completed all of my runs and decided yesterday, in my 3-mile attempt, that forcing myself to run brought me no joy. I like to do it when it doesn't feel like a job, but training feels like a part time job that you're not getting any money for.... Plus it's been keeping me from doing activities that I would enjoy more, which has made me resent the idea of running all together. I didn't even go to the gym on Wednesday, and last night my run turned into walking hills on the treadmill. For some reason my job exhausts me and trying to work out after getting of work is really hard.... I also forgot to bring socks with me, so I had to try to work out without them. I really wanted to just turn around and leave the moment I discovered I would be sockless but I decided to tough it out. It didn't work. I still got an hour workout with cardio and weights so I can't get too down on myself. It will just be short of a miracle if I can actually do this 10k next month and finish in one piece.

That new plan sound much more (mentally) healthy. If you're already running 4 miles, what's another two, especially on race day, when you'll be surrounded by energy. And your goal is just to finish... even if you had to take a small walk break after three miles you'd still complete it!
I know you can do it -- you're my workout inspiration!
