Blogging Slacker

I apologize for my lack of posts. I didn't even realize it had been a week, and my how the time has passed. I have been house-sitting at my sister's since Tuesday. I had Wednesday and Saturday off and basically spent those days with Don (he took all last week of to rook his sister's house and then the rain that came later in the week ruined his plans). Anyway, to update: Yes, the combat/pump combo on Monday just about killed me but I made it somehow. Tuesday I only did 30 minutes of walking on the treadmill before heading to work. On Wednesday, I got in about 45 minutes of cardio before Pump. Thursday was my 10 hour workday, so the gym did not happen (plus, there was the 2-hour season finale of Grey's Anatomy). On Friday, after work, I went to Pump and then Combat. This is a much better combo then combat before pump. No matter what, combat exhausts me. At least if I get pump in beforehand, I can force my way through combat. But trying to do pump after combat forces me to lower almost all of my weights because I feel like I'll fall over otherwise. Yesterday, Don and I woke up and walked to go get breakfast. Even though it may not have been the healthiest breakfast, it was about a 30 minute walk there and then another 30 minutes back. Plus, although some bad food choices may have been made in the past few days, the rest of them have been pretty good. We have been grilling almost every night, some chicken and steak....I even tried a swordfish steak! And a lot of grilled veggies and grilled fruit for dessert with fat-free whipped topping. I worked today and told myself I was going to go to the gym after work, but it is sooooo hot and humid out. It's hard to must up the energy. Plus, it's almost 6 now, and by the time I finish up here (I'm washing/drying towels and sheets I used at my sister's) and change and everything it will be 7 by the time I get there....8 by the time I leave and won't be done cleaning up until 9. If I don't go, that means I will have to go to Combat/Pump tomorrow. This sounds exhausting, but it's good for me. I should still be able to get in 7 hours of workout time even if I don't go tonight. Maybe I'll do some crunches and pushups before going to bed. Tomorrow will be a hard day because in the afternoon we have to go to an Open House/Birthday party for Don's family and then eat dinner at my parent's for my mom's birthday. My parent's house won't be too bad, but I'm sure there will be many, many temptations at the Miller house (probably a big bowl of Doritos which is a weakness of mine). Wish my luck on having some control this Memorial Day!
