Usually this song is in my head when it is played during the chest track of Body Pump, but today it is in my head because I am really seeing results from pushing it so hard at the gym lately. I've decided it is basically allergies that have been bringing me down lately, and have upped my Zyrtec to twice a day for now. I normally just take it at night but I think the twice a day has been helping the past couple days. Anyway, back to my Body Pump story. I felt well enough to hit the gym this morning, still a little stuffy but nothing I can't handle. I walked for an hour, increasing the incline up to 12, and keeping it there for quite some time. The treadmill reported that I had burned over 700 calories from this walk, whether or not that is totally accurate, I am sure it was still a good number. Then I went to class. I increased my squat weight again to a large and two mediums and made it through the song just fine. But it was during the abs part of the class that I realized how far I've come since I have returned to class. I made it through the hover the entire time without moving, and when it was over I thought, "That's it? Easy!" The hover has been so hard for me to make it through in the past without giving up and putting my knees down. This excites me because my stomach is my problem area, and if I know I'm getting stronger there, hopefully the strength will begin to wear down some of the fat in that area. So, yay for Body Pump!
On a side note, I'm a little sad to see Adam Corolla voted off Dancing With the Stars last night. Yes, he was not the best dancer, but he was funny and I enjoyed watching him. TV is finally returning which means my social life will end for a while, unless anyone wants to invite me over for some good old fashioned tv watching!

That is an excellent chest track! And good for you for being able to do the entire hover. Where else are you noticing results? And when will I be able to see that three times a week is doing something more than making me sore? Are you sore all the time?
My arms are definitely buffer and my legs are way stronger than they were before. I guess most visually it is my arms, the rest is me knowing I'm stronger. I'm not really sore, even when I up my weight. It burns the most in class. Sometimes I'm a little sore but it doesn't last long. I sort of relish in feeling sore, reminds me that I'm doing something with my body. Otherwise I feel like I'm not working hard enough. On a side note, did you know your blog has been viewed 10 times more than mine? Where can I get more readers? You're just more popular than me!
Where do you see how many people viewed it? I noticed that Lynn has been reading. But, you don't really want more people reading it -- remember that scott guy that commented once!
Perhaps when more fat melts off my arms I will be able to see my larger muscles!
I also like to feel a little sore in at least one area at one time during the day after body pump. I feel cheated if once during that next day I don't say, oh yeah I went to body pump yesterday and worked that muscle. But, I wouldn't say I'm sore all the time - of course I don't go as often as the rest of you.
I want to sign this blog as "a loyal blog viewer" but instead it'll just say Ishikawa18 - you'll have to pretend.
You click on "see complete profile" in order to see how many people have viewed. I just happened upon it because I randomly clicked on yours to see if there was anything interesting in your profile. Good thing you didn't come up for Pump, my instructor is broken! I'll let you know when she's back.
