A New Start

I feel like I have finally gotten back on track at the gym. Even though I had taken Thursday and Friday off from the gym, on Saturday morning I got up early and was able to run 4 miles straight. I haven't ran close to that much since I made the 5 miles a few weeks ago. The back pain just kept me from running at all. Yesterday morning I forced myself up and did 30 minutes on the treadmill before going to Pump. In that 30 minutes I was able to run 2 miles while walking the rest of the time. I hope to go to Pump two more times this week to rev up the weights. It has been hard to increase my squat weight and I feel like a total wimp right now (compared to how much I used to squat). I hope it will be a good week. I plan on trying to sign up for a class at Metro, which gives me hope for the future, which will hopefully make me not want to cry all day at work and snack and come home and lay down. Hope gives me energy, energy gives me good workouts and the feeling that I don't need to snack all day long.

Way to go. For you it appears that working out is all about having fun and doing what feels right for your body at the right time. You get bogged down with training plans and concentrating on one thing too much. I love fresh starts, and I am glad that you are looking forward to things again!
