We're only a few weeks from the day I've been waiting for all year. New Year's Eve. The year has been a long roller coaster ride and back in early 2008 I couldn't wait to get this tough year over with. Now it is closer than I ever imagined... Of course now that I have been through the worst of it this year, I'm not as antsy to get it over with but I am still looking forward to a new start in a new year. I'll be going back to school and getting married, which is still crazy to think about! Hopefully I can keep up with my workouts and maybe start living an even healthier lifestyle because some of that has gone by the way side during the recent stressful times.
If I make it to Combat tomorrow night like I want to, I will have accomplished 7 hours of workout time since last Saturday. This has seemed like an impossible feat for the past few months and to think I will get there is exciting. I did two hours last night which is helping me get there. I normally don't like to go for that long during the week after work because I don't get home until almost 8:00 pm... But with Don working and all the holiday eating I forced myself to go. I might take tonight off, if I don't I will do an hour of cardio and skip Combat tomorrow to do something fun (I don't know what that fun activity will be but I hope I will make it fun!). Then on Saturday I will do an hour of cardio early in the morning, and I'll have to really make it tough. I will need to burn lots of calories because I will be baking cookies all day, which means a lot of raw dough and sampling fresh from the oven cookies, and then we are going to a party which will have lots of wine and good food. The holidays are officially here!
