News
Not too much exciting to say about exercise lately. On Saturday I did manage to run 4 miles straight, and I felt like laying down for the rest of the day after that! But that makes two weeks in a row that I have accomplished that. On Sunday I did a half hour of cardio and went to Pump... and for the second week in a row I raked the yard (and once again it already looks like I've done nothing!). Yesterday I did not make it to the gym due to a meeting at College of St. Mary's and the finale of Dancing With the Stars. But the news is that I am going to start the Masters of Teaching program in January. This would allow me to finish the classes by next December and then student teach the spring semester of 2010. When I graduate I will then be able to look at jobs for the following August. This is really exciting thinking about being able to start working on something so quickly. I really did not want to have to wait until next August to begin classes. This also means that I will be in a classroom almost every Saturday from 8-5 for the next year. This will affect my workouts and social life, but knowing that I won't be sitting in front of a computer for the rest of all eternity makes it worth it!

That's exciting Jen! Too bad you'll be so busy, but hurrah for new goals! I always thought that I'd be the teacher, and now look, it's going to be you!!!
And yeah for running 4 miles. I need to get back to my running goal. I think we should run a race together this spring. It will give me something to work towards. (Just not one on a Saturday apparently.)
Jen-
Some saturday (before you're so busy) I want to come up and take classes at your gym with you. Do you still do the combat/pump combo on Saturday morning? Then we could have lunch or something. Look at your calendar and tell me a good Saturday for that!
PS - I have to work at 11:00 on Saturday the 13th! So probably not that one... and the 6th is your potluck... and...
Way to go on enrolling for classes! That's the best way out of the job you hate.
Karrie - Won't taking classes with Jen just make you mad about what you're missing?
No, taking classes with Jen will be utilizing the membership I have already paid for, rather than using golds once a week -- and I did pay $20 for this month, it just happened three years ago.
And Jen, I just saw your email about the potluck... so still, send me some Satruday mornings that will work!
